Peter is a mechanical and civil engineer (BS, Wisconsin; MS, Tennessee; PhD, Carnegie-Mellon) with Colorado registration. He was a general contractor during the 1970's and a professor at the University of Colorado at Denver during the 1980's. In 2010, he returned to private practice in Denver from one of the world's largest engineering design firms, where he had been Chief Engineer over a billion dollar portfolio for the last fifteen years. Peter is also a research professor in the College of Engineering at CU Denver.
Anne graduated in Design from UCLA, where she studied interior and urban design. She has done additional study and research in Mexico, Italy, and France. Anne is an original member of UNTITLED in Nashville and, more recently, served on the faculty of the Birmingham - Bloomfield Hills Art Center (BBAC) in Michigan. She promotes communication between technical professionals and design professionals. Anne is actively involved with the Denver Art Museum (DAM).
Anne is trustee of historic property in Los Angeles. Anne's father, an engineer, was a pioneer in Hollywood's recording industry. Peter grew up in an old house, perhaps the oldest in the Atlanta area. Peter's father, an engineer and early urban planner known for designing 27 college campuses and for preserving historic Key West during the Truman Presidency, had begun his career with the Olmsted firm that designed Central Park in New York.
Peter's father planned the Cherry Creek polo grounds and the expansion of Denver's Fairmount Cemetery. (Left: Hoffman's plan for Fairmount Cemetery. Quebec Street was called Park Avenue. The Olmsted influence is evident.)
